The USA Network hit detective comedy "Monk" premiered on July 2, 2002 and was an immediate hit with critics and audiences alike.
"Wings" and "Big Nighty" scene-stealer Tony Shalhoub played the eponymous Adrian Monk, a San Francisco investigator whose brilliant powers of deduction went hand-in-hand with an extreme case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and germophobia.
