Mathis is a Berlin based illustrator who’s work could be compared to a modern day Salvador Dali, albeit one that chooses Illustrator over oil paints. He has gained some renown in Europe and has even designed graphics for advertisements for major companies like Volkswagen  and ’ work is scattered and fragmented, many pieces coming together to make a cohesive whole.

Mathis Rekowski gives his art an explosion of texture and color for his viewers to feast their eyes on. His complex digital collages take on many forms.

Mathis Rekowski can use the same bite-sized images to make either a human face or a landscape where I would imagine a unicorn and smurfs might live. Even a smiley skull or a depiction of heaven and hell comes out unique when Mathis Rekowski sets his mind to it.
