I want to discuss the original three skills model by Katz (1955) and how it relates to the basics of leadership in one of my favorite leadership movements in history.

This takes place in 20^th century India, in which there was a movement for independence against Britain.

At some point in our public-school history lessons, we have learned about Mahatma Gandhi and how his movement played a part in India`s independence. For this blog post, I will relate to how he used the three basic skills in the Katz model.

To start off with technical skills, he displayed this aspect of himself when he became a leader.

During his years in South Africa, he studied the conditions of what his people went through along with the politics and laws to become a campaigner. He also looked at what many Indians went through in British systems and eventually exposed them while organizing a congress to deal with such issues.
